Check that the microphone is physically connected or built into the device
Open the device settings
Go to Sound or Audio settings
Select Microphone or Input
Turn on microphone access or enable the microphone
Allow microphone permission for the app you want to use
Make sure the correct microphone is selected
Increase the input volume if needed
Unmute the microphone if it is muted
Test the microphone in the app or sound settings
