Open the Google Photos app
Tap your profile picture or initial
Tap Photos settings
Tap Backup
Turn off Backup
On Android, open device Settings
Tap Apps
Tap Photos
Tap Permissions or Storage, if needed
Disable Photos access or force stop the app, if desired
On iPhone, open the Settings app
Tap Photos
Turn off Google Photos access, if applicable
To stop syncing on a computer, open Google Photos in a browser
Sign out of your Google account
To remove the app, uninstall Google Photos from your device
