Contact the credit bureau that placed the freeze: Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion
Use the account portal for each bureau (online or mobile) to manage your freeze
Choose “Lift Freeze” / “Unfreeze” / “Thaw”
Enter the required verification details (login, personal info, identity verification)
Select the unfreeze type:
Temporary (set start and end dates)
Permanent (remove the freeze)
Provide the PIN, password, or verification code associated with the freeze
Submit the request and save the confirmation number or email
If you froze using a third-party service, follow that service’s unfreeze instructions
Unfreeze all three bureaus if you want full credit access
Confirm the freeze status after submission (check each bureau’s portal)
If you lost your PIN/password, use the bureau’s “Forgot PIN” / “Manage Freeze” options to regain access
