Connect the iPad to a computer with Finder on Mac or iTunes on Windows or older macOS
Put the iPad into recovery mode
When prompted, choose Restore
Wait for the restore process to finish
Set up the iPad again
If prompted, sign in with the Apple ID used on the device
If you have a recent backup, restore your data during setup
If recovery mode does not work, use iCloud Find My to erase the iPad
Sign in to iCloud.com with the Apple ID linked to the iPad
Open Find My
Select the iPad
Choose Erase This Device
After erasing, set up the iPad again
If Activation Lock appears, enter the Apple ID and password previously used on the iPad
Contact Apple Support if you cannot access the Apple ID or cannot complete the restore
