Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner
Select System Settings or System Preferences
Click General
Click Software Update
Wait for your Mac to check for updates
If an update is available, click Update Now or Upgrade Now
Enter your Mac password if prompted
Follow the on-screen instructions
Restart your Mac if required
Open Safari to confirm it has been updated
