Inspect the pallet jack for damage before use
Check that the forks, wheels, and handle move properly
Make sure the load is within the jack’s weight capacity
Position the forks fully under the pallet
Center the load evenly on the forks
Pump the handle to raise the pallet slightly off the floor
Keep your feet clear of the wheels and forks
Push the pallet jack rather than pull it when possible
Move slowly and watch for obstacles, people, and uneven surfaces
Use the handle to steer and control direction
Lower the load carefully when you reach the destination
Remove the forks from the pallet after lowering
Park the pallet jack in a safe area when finished
Do not carry passengers on the pallet jack
Do not use a damaged or overloaded pallet jack
