Confirm that your Companion Certificate or companion benefit is available
Search for eligible flights on Delta.com or the Delta app
Choose a qualifying round-trip itinerary
Select the companion option during booking
Enter the companion traveler’s information exactly as it appears on their ID
Pay the required taxes and fees for the companion ticket
Complete the booking under the eligible SkyMiles account
Make sure both travelers are on the same itinerary
Review fare rules, blackout dates, and route restrictions before booking
Use the companion benefit only for eligible cabin and fare types
Bring the same payment method if required for the primary ticket
Check in both travelers together before departure
Contact Delta if the companion benefit does not appear during booking
