Install FORScan on a Windows PC, iPhone, Android device, or tablet
Get a compatible OBD-II adapter, preferably one recommended by FORScan
Plug the adapter into the vehicle’s OBD-II port
Turn the ignition to ON without starting the engine, if required
Connect the adapter to the device via USB, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi
Open FORScan and allow it to detect the vehicle
Save the vehicle profile when prompted
Read and review any diagnostic trouble codes
Use live data to monitor sensors and module information
Run service functions only when needed
Back up original module settings before making changes
Make changes carefully in configuration or programming menus
Write changes to the vehicle and wait for completion
Clear codes after repairs or changes if appropriate
Verify that the vehicle operates correctly after each change
Disconnect the adapter and close the app when finished
