Read the user manual for your specific Instant Pot model
Check that the sealing ring, inner pot, and valve are properly installed
Add ingredients and at least the minimum required liquid
Close and lock the lid
Set the steam release valve to Sealing
Select the desired cooking program or use Pressure Cook/Manual
Set the cooking time and pressure level if needed
Wait for the pot to build pressure and start cooking
Let the cooking cycle finish
Release pressure using Natural Release or Quick Release as required by the recipe
Carefully open the lid away from your face
Stir, serve, and turn off the unit
Clean the inner pot, lid, sealing ring, and valve after use
