Empty the water tank and remove any capsule
Fill the tank with the recommended amount of water
Add the Nespresso descaling agent to the water tank as directed on the package
Place a container under the coffee outlet to collect the liquid
Turn on the machine and enter descaling mode if required by your model
Run the descaling solution through the machine
Let the machine pause if the descaling cycle requires it
Empty and rinse the water tank thoroughly
Fill the tank with fresh water
Run one or more rinse cycles with clean water
Empty the container and rinse any removable parts
Exit descaling mode and return the machine to normal use
