Choose the correct screw anchor for the wall material and screw size
Mark the exact spot where the anchor will go
Drill a hole with the proper bit size for the anchor
Remove dust and debris from the hole
Insert the anchor into the hole until it sits flush with the surface
Tap the anchor gently if needed to seat it fully
Place the item to be mounted over the anchor
Drive the screw into the anchor
Tighten the screw until secure, but do not overtighten
Check that the mounted item is stable and level
