Download the Square Point of Sale app
Sign in to your Square account
Connect the Square Reader to your device
Turn on Bluetooth if required
Open the app and go to the checkout screen
Enter the sale amount
Ask the customer to tap, dip, or swipe their card
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the payment
Wait for the approval message
Offer a receipt by email, text, or print
Disconnect and store the Square Reader when finished
