Fill a clean bowl or sink with cool water
Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda per 2 cups of water
Stir until the baking soda dissolves
Place the fruits in the solution
Soak for 10 to 15 minutes
Gently rub the fruit surface with your hands
Use a soft brush for firm-skinned fruits if needed
Rinse the fruits thoroughly under running water
Pat dry with a clean towel or paper towel
Wash fruits just before eating or using them
