Turn off power at the breaker
Drain the hot tub completely
Remove and clean the filter
Open all drain plugs and valves
Blow out water from jets, plumbing, and equipment lines
Remove remaining water from the shell with a wet/dry vacuum or towels
Drain and dry the pump, heater, and other equipment
Remove and store accessories, pillows, and covers
Clean and dry the spa shell
Leave all valves and unions open after draining
Add non-toxic RV antifreeze only if recommended by the manufacturer
Replace the cover securely
Check periodically through winter for water intrusion or cover damage
