How To Winterize Your RV?

Drain the fresh water tank

Drain the gray water tank

Drain the black water tank

Turn off the water heater

Let the water heater cool completely

Drain the water heater

Bypass the water heater

Open all faucets

Open the shower valve

Flush the toilet

Drain the water lines

Blow out the water lines with compressed air or use RV antifreeze

Add RV antifreeze to the plumbing system if needed

Pour antifreeze into all drains and traps

Pour antifreeze into the toilet bowl

Add antifreeze to the holding tanks if required

Remove and store water filters

Remove and store the battery if applicable

Disconnect shore power

Charge and maintain the battery

Clean the RV interior

Remove food and perishables

Empty the refrigerator and freezer

Defrost and clean the refrigerator

Prop open refrigerator and freezer doors

Seal entry points against pests

Close and latch all windows and vents
