Remove all food and perishables
Clean all surfaces and cabinets
Remove batteries or disconnect them
Charge and store batteries properly
Check tire pressure
Cover tires or move RV off the ground
Inspect roof, seals, and seams
Cover vents, windows, and exterior openings
Close and latch all windows and doors
Retract awnings
Secure loose items inside
Park on level ground
Use wheel chocks
Cover the RV or use a breathable RV cover
Protect against pests with traps or deterrents
Check for leaks before storage
Run the generator dry or stabilize fuel
Add fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank
Change engine oil and filters if needed
Lubricate moving parts and hinges
Store the RV in a safe, dry location
