Keep the notebook straight and place it on a flat surface
Hold the pen comfortably and write with a light grip
Start each line on the left side of the page
Write within the two lines of each ruled section
Keep letters aligned with the top and bottom lines
Leave equal spacing between words
Do not let letters go above or below the ruled space
Write neatly and consistently
Use the next line for the next sentence or word group
Keep margins clean and avoid writing too close to the edge
