Write the date in the top-right line
Write the payee name on the “Pay to the order of” line
Write the amount in numbers on the amount box line (e.g., 125.00)
Write the amount in words on the line below/next to the amount words field (e.g., One hundred twenty-five and 00/100)
Draw a line through any unused space after the amount in words
Sign the check on the signature line
Add a memo (optional) on the memo line
Review all details for accuracy before issuing the check
