Craft or find a beacon
Place the beacon on top of a solid base made of iron, gold, emerald, diamond, or netherite blocks
Build the pyramid base with 1 to 4 layers
Make sure the beacon has an unobstructed view of the sky
Right-click the beacon to open its menu
Insert a mineral item such as iron ingot, gold ingot, emerald, diamond, or netherite ingot
Choose a primary power from the menu
If the pyramid has 4 layers, choose a secondary power if available
Confirm the selection
Stay within the beacon’s range to receive the effect
Reopen the beacon menu to change powers later
Add more pyramid layers to increase the beacon range and unlock stronger options
