Open Instagram and swipe right to create a Story
Capture or upload a photo or video
Tap the sticker icon at the top
Select the Music sticker
Search for the song you want
Choose the part of the song you want to use
Adjust how the music sticker looks on the Story
Tap Done
Share your Story
If your own music is not available in Instagram’s library, upload the audio to a licensed music distribution service first
Make sure you have the rights to use the music
Use a third-party video editor to add your own music to the photo or video before uploading it to Instagram
Save the edited video to your device
Upload the saved video to your Instagram Story
If needed, mute the original audio before posting
