How to Do Your Own Tape Ins?

Start with clean, dry, fully detangled hair

Section your hair horizontally from the nape upward

Clip away the top sections

Take a thin slice of your natural hair

Place one tape extension underneath the slice, adhesive side up

Press the hair onto the tape

Place a second tape extension on top, adhesive side down, to sandwich the hair

Press firmly to seal the bond

Repeat in small sections, keeping tapes evenly spaced

Leave enough hair near the scalp for natural movement

Avoid placing tapes too close to the hairline or part

Use a tail comb for clean parting and sectioning

Work from the bottom layers upward

Check that each bond lies flat and secure

Trim or blend the extensions if needed after installation

Avoid washing or styling with heat for the first 24 to 48 hours

Use sulfate-free, extension-safe hair products

Brush gently with an extension-safe brush

Hold the roots when brushing to reduce tension

Reposition or replace tapes every 6 to 8 weeks

Remove with extension-safe remover only

Never pull or rip tape extensions out
