Give plenty of supervised tummy time every day
Place favorite toys just out of reach
Get down on the floor and crawl with your baby
Use tunnels, cushions, or pillows to create a safe obstacle course
Encourage reaching, rocking, and pivoting on hands and knees
Limit time in swings, bouncers, and seats
Put toys on slightly elevated surfaces to motivate movement
Offer barefoot floor time for better grip and balance
Help your baby practice weight-bearing on hands and knees
Use short, frequent play sessions instead of long practice sessions
Praise and encourage every attempt to move
Make sure the play area is safe and open
Talk to your pediatrician if your baby is not showing movement progress or has concerns about muscle tone
