Remove and empty the vacuum bag or canister outdoors
Seal cracks, gaps, and entry points around doors, windows, and baseboards
Reduce indoor moisture with dehumidifiers and fans
Fix leaking pipes, faucets, and drains
Clear clutter, cardboard, and damp materials from floors and corners
Inspect and shake out shoes, towels, clothing, and bedding
Place sticky traps along walls, under sinks, and near entry points
Use a residual insecticide labeled for indoor earwig control
Apply diatomaceous earth in dry cracks and crevices
Remove outdoor debris, mulch, and leaf piles near the foundation
Keep exterior lights off or switch to yellow bug lights
Trim vegetation touching the house
Call a pest control professional if the infestation is heavy
