1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional
Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat
Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds
Add crushed tomatoes
Stir in oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, sugar, and red pepper flakes
Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes
Let cool before spreading on pizza dough
