How to Throw a Football Spiral?

Grip the ball across the laces with your fingertips, not your palm

Place your index finger near the tip of the ball and your middle finger on or near the lace

Keep your thumb underneath for support

Hold the ball near your chest with the pointed end aimed at your target

Stand sideways to your target with your throwing shoulder back

Step toward your target with your front foot

Rotate your hips and shoulders as you throw

Bring the ball back near your ear before releasing

Release the ball off your fingertips, not by pushing it

Snap your wrist downward as the ball leaves your hand

Follow through with your throwing arm toward the target

Keep your elbow up and your motion smooth

Aim for a tight, straight release

Practice short throws first before increasing distance
