Open Instagram and go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Tap Settings and privacy
Tap Account or Archiving and downloading
Turn on Save original photos or Save to camera roll
For posts you upload, make sure the save option is enabled before posting
To save someone else’s photo, take a screenshot if allowed by your device and local rules
Use Instagram’s Save feature to bookmark posts inside the app
If you have access to the original file, download it directly to your phone gallery
Check your phone’s Photos or Gallery app to confirm the image is saved
