Visit the official NSDL Protean or UTIITSL website
Download the PAN correction or surrender request form
Fill in your PAN details and mention the PAN to be surrendered
Attach a copy of your PAN card and a valid identity proof
Write a surrender request letter stating the reason for surrender
Submit the form and documents to the nearest PAN service center or upload them online if the portal allows
If you have multiple PAN cards, keep the one you want to retain and surrender the others
After submission, note the acknowledgment number for tracking
Check the status of your request on the official portal
Keep the confirmation or receipt after the PAN is surrendered
