Open Instagram and go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Select Accounts Center
Tap Your information and permissions
Select Download your information
Choose the Instagram account you want to back up
Select the data format and date range if available
Enter your email address if prompted
Tap Create files or Request download
Wait for Instagram to prepare your backup
Download the file from the email or Instagram notification
Save the backup file to a secure location
Repeat the process periodically to keep backups updated
