How to Become Advocate in India?

Complete 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board

Obtain a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university

Enroll in a 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated law program from a recognized law college/university

Ensure the law degree is approved by the Bar Council of India

Register with the State Bar Council after completing the law degree

Pass the All India Bar Examination (AIBE)

Receive the Certificate of Practice

Start practicing as an advocate in courts, tribunals, or legal offices

Gain practical experience through internships, moot courts, and chamber training

Maintain enrollment and comply with Bar Council rules and professional ethics
