Break the fast after the traditional puja or the next morning, as per your family or temple custom
Start with water or warm water first
Eat light and easily digestible food
Take fruits or fruit salad first
Have milk, curd, or buttermilk if suitable for you
Eat sabudana khichdi, kuttu puri, singhare ka atta items, or other vrat foods
Add boiled potatoes or sweet potato in small quantity
Avoid overeating at the first meal
Avoid oily, spicy, and heavy foods immediately after fasting
Avoid non-vegetarian food and alcohol when breaking the fast
If you have any medical condition, break the fast according to your doctor’s advice
