How to Cook Dalia?

Rinse 1 cup dalia under water

Heat 1 tablespoon ghee or oil in a pan

Add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

Add chopped onion, green chili, and ginger if desired

Sauté until lightly golden

Add chopped vegetables if using

Add the rinsed dalia

Roast for 2 to 3 minutes

Add 2.5 to 3 cups water

Add salt to taste

Mix well

Cover and cook on low to medium heat

Stir occasionally

Cook until the dalia becomes soft and the water is absorbed

Add more water if needed

Garnish with coriander leaves if desired

Serve hot
