Right-click an empty area on your desktop
Select New
Click Shortcut
Type or paste the location of the item you want to create a shortcut for
Click Next
Enter a name for the shortcut
Click Finish
To create a shortcut from an app or file, right-click it and select Send to
Click Desktop (create shortcut)
