How to Grout Shower Tile?

Gather grout, grout float, bucket, sponge, clean water, microfiber cloth, and grout sealer if needed

Ensure tile adhesive is fully cured before grouting

Remove tile spacers and clean joints of dust and debris

Mix grout according to the manufacturer’s instructions

Let the grout slake if required, then remix

Apply grout diagonally across the tile joints with a grout float

Press grout firmly into all joints

Remove excess grout by holding the float at a diagonal angle

Wait for the grout to firm up slightly

Wipe the tile surface with a damp sponge using light, circular motions

Rinse the sponge frequently and avoid pulling grout from the joints

Repeat wiping until the tile face is clean

Allow a light haze to dry on the tile

Buff the haze off with a dry microfiber cloth

Let the grout cure for the recommended time

Apply grout sealer if the grout type requires it

Caulk changes of plane and corners with mildew-resistant silicone caulk
