Open iMovie and select your project
Move the playhead to the point where you want to cut
Click the clip in the timeline
Choose Edit > Split Clip
Press Command + B to split the clip
Drag the playhead to another cut point and repeat
Select the unwanted section
Press Delete to remove it
Trim clip edges by dragging the ends inward
Use the scissors tool if available in your version
Save or export the edited movie
