Connect your iPhone to your Mac with a USB cable
Unlock your iPhone and tap Trust This Computer if prompted
Open the Photos app on your Mac
Select your iPhone under Devices in the sidebar
Choose the photos you want to import
Click Import Selected or Import All New Photos
Wait for the transfer to finish
Eject your iPhone safely when done

Open Photos on iPhone, select the photos, tap Share, then tap AirDrop
Select your Mac from the AirDrop list
Accept the transfer on your Mac

Turn on iCloud Photos on iPhone and Mac with the same Apple ID
Download photos from the Photos app on Mac after syncing
Use Image Capture on Mac to import photos
Open Image Capture from Applications
Select your iPhone from the device list
Choose a destination folder
Click Import or Import All
Use Finder if your iPhone appears as a device for file access
Open Finder and select your iPhone in the sidebar
Browse available files and copy photos to your Mac
Use iCloud.com to download photos through a browser
Sign in to iCloud.com with your Apple ID
Open Photos and download the selected images to your Mac
