Go to the View tab
In the Show group, uncheck Gridlines
Go to the Page Layout tab
In the Sheet Options group, under Gridlines, clear the View checkbox
To remove gridlines from printing, clear the Print checkbox under Gridlines in Sheet Options
On Mac, go to the Layout tab and uncheck View under Gridlines
Use the keyboard shortcut Alt + W + V + G on Windows to toggle gridlines off
