Rinse the stain immediately with cold water
Blot the stain gently with a clean cloth
Apply liquid laundry detergent directly to the stain
Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes
Gently rub the fabric against itself or with a soft brush
Rinse again with cold water
Repeat if needed before drying
For dried stains, soak the clothing in cold water for several hours
Apply hydrogen peroxide only on white or colorfast fabrics
Test any stain remover on a hidden area first
Wash the clothing in cold water
Air-dry the item and check that the stain is gone before using heat
Avoid hot water and machine drying until the stain is fully removed
