Return the item to the store with your receipt and ask them to remove the tag
Contact the retailer’s customer service if you cannot return in person
Use a strong retail security tag remover only if you are authorized to do so
Do not force, cut, or pry the tag off, as it may damage the clothing or spill ink
If the tag is attached to a delicate item, ask the store for a safe removal method
If the tag was left on by mistake, report it to the store immediately
If the tag contains ink, keep it upright and avoid pressure on it
If you suspect theft-prevention hardware on a purchased item, take proof of purchase to the store for removal
