Boil a kettle of water
Pour the hot water slowly down the drain
Add baking soda into the drain
Pour vinegar into the drain
Wait 15 minutes
Flush with hot water
Use a plunger over the drain
Cover the second sink drain if there is one
Plunge firmly several times
Remove and clean the sink stopper
Check the P-trap under the sink
Place a bucket under the P-trap
Unscrew the P-trap
Remove debris from the trap
Reassemble the P-trap
Run water to test the drain
Use a drain snake if the clog remains
Insert the snake into the drain
Rotate and push until the clog breaks up
Pull out any debris
Run hot water again
Clean the garbage disposal if present
Turn off power before cleaning
Remove visible food waste
Press the reset button if needed
Call a plumber if the clog does not clear
