Sign in to your Microsoft account at account.microsoft.com
Go to Services & subscriptions or Your info
Select Manage how you sign in to Microsoft or Security settings if needed
If you want to close the account completely, go to Close your account
Review the account closure information
Follow the prompts to verify your identity
Select the reason for closing the account
Confirm the account closure
If you only want to remove the Xbox profile from a console, go to Settings
Select Account
Choose Remove accounts
Select your Xbox account
Confirm removal from the console
If you want to stop using Xbox services without closing the Microsoft account, cancel any active Xbox subscriptions
Turn off recurring billing for Xbox subscriptions
Remove payment methods if needed
Sign out of Xbox on all devices
Uninstall the Xbox app if desired
