How to Connect Xbox One Controller to a PC?

Connect the controller with a USB cable

Press the Xbox button to turn on the controller

Wait for Windows to install the drivers automatically

Connect the controller via Bluetooth if your PC supports it

Turn on Bluetooth on your PC

Press and hold the Xbox button on the controller

Press and hold the Pair button on the controller until the Xbox logo flashes

Open Bluetooth settings on your PC

Select Add device

Choose Bluetooth

Select Xbox Wireless Controller from the list

Connect the controller with an Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows

Plug the adapter into a USB port on your PC

Press the Pair button on the adapter

Press and hold the Pair button on the controller until it connects

Check the controller in Windows Settings or Xbox Accessories app

Update the controller firmware if needed using the Xbox Accessories app
