Wipe the area clean afterward
Apply a small amount of mineral spirits to a cloth for sealed wood
Rub gently and wipe clean
Dry immediately
Use fine-grit sandpaper only on unfinished wood
Sand lightly until the mark is removed
Refinish the wood if needed
Avoid soaking the wood with liquid
Avoid harsh scrubbing
Stop if the finish starts to come off
