Brush hair until smooth and free of tangles
Gather hair into a high ponytail at the crown or desired bun position
Secure the ponytail tightly with an elastic
Twist the ponytail into a coil
Wrap the coil around the base of the ponytail
Tuck the ends underneath the bun
Secure the bun with bobby pins or hairpins
Add a hair net over the bun if needed
Pin the hair net in place
Smooth flyaways with gel, hairspray, or a brush
Check the bun from all angles and secure any loose sections
