Brush your hair until it is smooth and tangle-free
Gather a section of hair at the crown of your head
Divide that section into three equal strands
Cross the right strand over the middle strand
Cross the left strand over the new middle strand
Add a small section of hair from the right side to the right strand
Cross the right strand over the middle strand
Add a small section of hair from the left side to the left strand
Cross the left strand over the middle strand
Repeat adding hair and crossing strands as you move down your head
Keep the braid tight and centered as you work
Continue until all hair is included in the braid
Finish by braiding the remaining length normally
Secure the end with a hair tie
Gently pull on the braid sections if you want a fuller look
