Measure and mark the cabinet layout on the wall
Find and mark the wall studs
Draw a level reference line for the cabinet bottom or top
Remove cabinet doors and shelves if needed to reduce weight
Build a temporary support ledger at the marked height
Drill pilot holes through the cabinet back or hanging rail
Lift the first cabinet onto the ledger
Align the cabinet with the layout marks and studs
Secure the cabinet to the wall with screws into studs
Check that the cabinet is level and plumb
Clamp adjacent cabinets together
Fasten the cabinets to each other through the face frames or side panels
Continue installing the remaining cabinets one at a time
Recheck alignment, level, and spacing as you go
Install filler strips if needed
Reinstall doors and shelves
Remove the support ledger
Touch up screw holes and finish edges if needed
