Gather hair wefts, a wig cap, weaving thread, needle, scissors, comb, clips, and hair glue or bonding glue if needed
Wash, condition, detangle, and fully dry your natural hair
Braid your hair into flat cornrows close to the scalp
Leave out a small amount of hair along the hairline and part if desired
Put on a wig cap over the cornrows
Secure the wig cap and trim any excess
Measure and cut the hair wefts to fit your head
Apply a thin layer of bonding glue along the perimeter if using glue
Start sewing or gluing the wefts from the back of the head upward
Keep the wefts flat and close together
Continue layering wefts until the desired coverage and volume is reached
Leave the top and front area open for the leave-out if needed
Blend the leave-out hair with the weave using heat styling if desired
Trim and shape the weave for a natural finish
Wrap or tie down the hair to set it in place
Avoid washing or heavy moisture until the glue or install is fully set
