How to Grout Backsplash?

Gather grout, grout float, bucket, sponge, clean water, microfiber cloth, and grout sealer

Let the tile adhesive cure fully before grouting

Remove tile spacers and clear debris from the joints

Mix grout according to the manufacturer’s instructions

Let the grout slake if required, then remix

Load grout onto the float

Hold the float at a 45-degree angle

Press grout firmly into the joints, working diagonally across the tiles

Fill all joints completely

Scrape excess grout off the tile surface with the float

Allow grout to set until it firms up slightly

Wipe the tile surface with a damp sponge in light passes

Rinse the sponge often and change water as needed

Smooth and shape the grout lines with the sponge or a grout tool

Remove remaining haze with a clean microfiber cloth after the grout firms up

Let the grout cure for the recommended time

Apply grout sealer if the grout type requires it

Avoid getting the backsplash wet until fully cured
