Measure the backsplash area
Clean the wall surface
Remove outlet covers and switch plates
Mark a level reference line
Find and mark the center point
Dry-fit the tile layout
Cut tiles as needed
Mix the tile adhesive or thinset
Apply adhesive to a small section of the wall
Press tiles into place
Use tile spacers to keep joints even
Check alignment with a level
Continue setting tiles in sections
Cut tiles around outlets and edges
Let the adhesive cure
Remove spacers
Mix and apply grout
Wipe excess grout from the tile surface
Let the grout set
Clean the tile with a dry cloth
Apply caulk at seams and corners
Reinstall outlet covers and switch plates
