Correct dry lips with regular moisturizing
Check for and address dentures, braces, or saliva pooling
Replace missing vitamins or iron if a deficiency is confirmed
See a clinician if it lasts more than 1 to 2 weeks
Seek medical care sooner if it is severe, recurrent, swollen, or painful
