2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Combine sugar, water, corn syrup, butter, and salt in a saucepan
Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves
Stop stirring and cook until mixture reaches 240°F
Remove from heat
Let cool undisturbed until warm
Add vanilla extract
Beat mixture until thick, white, and creamy
Knead until smooth
Wrap tightly and let rest before using
